Day 1

Meet and greet at Havana airport. Then transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Dinner at your own discretion.

Day 2

Habana Colonial and the flair of the 50s

Walk through colonial Havana and discover its principal sites: among others, the Capitolio, Calle Obispo, Plaza de Armas, Cathedral Square. Enjoy a cocktail in Hemingway's ''Bodeguita del Medio'' and visit his working room in the Hotel Ambos Mundos. Lunch on the roof terrace of the Hotel Ambos Mundos, where Ernest Hemingway wrote the novel ''For Whom the Bell Tolls'' in room 511. In the afternoon, drive in an American classic car through the 1950s Havana featuring Revolution Square, the Malecon, the legendary Hotel Nacional and the Miramar residential district. In the evening, it is possible (optional) to attend the legendary Tropicana show.

Day 3

Havana - Viñales Valley - Las Terrazas

Heading towards the province of Pinar del Rio on the Tobacco Route. Panoramic tour through the Mogote Valley with its famous limestone cliffs and the picturesque village of Viñales, where time seems to have stood still. Visit to a Casa del Veguero (tobacco farmer's house) and have a cocktail at the Prehistoric Wall - a huge rock painting. Visit to the beautifully preserved Jardín de Caridad botanical garden, with a wide variety of plant species. Continue to the Sierra del Rosario - to the sustainable community of Las Terrazas, created in 1968 during a reforestation project.

Day 4

Las Terrazas - Bay of Pigs - Cienfuegos

Travel to central Cuba. On the way, stop at Cueva de los Pesces on the Zapata Peninsula. This environment has formed karst lagoons and an extensive system of submerged caves, which are inhabited by various species of the region's diverse flora and fauna. Swimming and snorkelling are possible. Continue to Cienfuegos, marked by French colonial architecture. Walk through the Plaza Mayor with the Teatro Terry, where Caruso once sang, and have a cocktail at the Moorish Palacio de Valle on the Punta Gorda peninsula.

Day 5

Cienfuegos - Trinidad - Zuckerrohrmühlental - Trinidad

In the morning, visit a tobacco factory in Cienfuegos. Cuban cigars are always hand-rolled. During a tour of the factory, you will see the working procedures and witness the skilled hands of the cigar rollers as they produce the best cigars in the world. Continue along the panoramic coastal road to Trinidad - UNESCO World Heritage Site with unique colonial architecture. City tour with the main square surrounded by magnificent mansions. Visit to the city museum in the Palacio Cantero and the traditional honey liqueur bar, the Canchánchara. Lunch in a private restaurant (paladar). Afternoon to the Sugar Cane Mill Valley. Visit to the hacienda of the sugar barons Iznaga and its slave tower. In the evening, stroll through the romantic-musical nightlife with live music and dancing, e.g. at the Casa de la Musica or Casa de la Trova.

Day 6

Trinidad - Santa Clara - Remedios

Travel through the foothills of the Escambray Mountains to the centre of the island to the historic Santa Clara, where Ché Guevara won his greatest victory and found his final resting place. Visit the Ché Guevara monument. Then on to the colonial town of Remedios to visit the former sugar factory, now a museum - the only one of its kind in Cuba dedicated to sugar! In addition to the broad insight into sugar production in Cuba, railway enthusiasts will also have a great time visiting six steam locomotives in very good condition. Afterwards, walk through the idyllically located main square with the church of San Juan Bautista.

Day 7

Remedios - Cayo Santa Maria / Varadero / Jibacoa - Havana

In the morning transfer via Cayo Santa Maria, Varadero or Jibacoa to the booked seaside hotel or return to Havana.

(Note: We cannot guarantee a timely connection to an international return flight and therefore do not recommend travelling on the same day. For this reason we strongly advise you to book an extra night).
