Day 1
Cancún - Ek Balam - Izamal
In the morning the guide will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the fascinating archaeological site of Ek Balam, where excavations are still taking place. Continue your journey to the "city of three cultures" Izamal qith a city tour and a visit to the extensive Franciscan Convent and visit to the Mundo Maya Foundation Arts and Crafts Gallery, providing insights into the diverse and colourful creations of various Mexican artists.

Day 2
Izamal - Mérida - Celestún - Sotuta de Peon
Transfer to the White City of Mérida and enjoy a city tour of its colonial centre. A visit to its colourful market is a must during this trip. Your journey continues then to the fishing village of Celestun on the Gulf of Mexico, whre you will take a lively boat trip into the lagoon, home to numerous pink flamingos. Afterwards, head to the next hacienda and accommodation.

Day 3
Sotuta de Peon - Uxmal - Sotuta de Peon
After breakfast we will explore the Working Hacienda in Sotuta. With a horse-drawn cart called Truk, you will ride through extensive agave plantations and visit a typical Mayan house on the way. You will reach a stunningly beautiful freshwater cave called Cenote, for a refreshing swim in crystal clear waters. Drive to Uxmal and enjoy a full immersion in the history of the Late Classic Mayan era. Here you will experience the Puuc style in one of the most interesting ruin complexes in the world. Afterwards, you will discover the extraordinary Cacao Eco-Museum and learn more about the importance of cacao in Mayan culture - from the tree cultivation, to the process and actual making of the cacao.

Day 4
Sotuta de Peon - Chichén Itzá
Continue your tour to the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá. The Mayan culture, further developed through the influence of the Toltecs from central Mexico, is expressed in all its splendour in Chichén-Itzá. Of the many buried structures overgrown by the jungle, almost 30 have been excavated and restored to this day. After this extremely fascinating visit, we will indulge in a invigorating swim in the nearby cenote.

Day 5
Chichen Itza - Valladolid - Tulum - Riviera Maya / Cancun
Journey to Valladolid and leisurely stroll through the streets of this idyllic colonial town.
Proceed to the ancient Mayan city of Cobá. The highest pyramid in Yucatan, Nohoch Mul, stands out in Cobá with a height of 42 metres. Then drive to Tulum and visit the site. Unlike all other Maya sites, Tulum is located directly by the sea. The most famous buildings are the so-called Castle, the Temple of the Descending God, the Temple of the Wind and the Fresco Temple. Its city centre is surrounded by a wall that opens out to the sea, and has guard towers on its north-west and south-west corners.
Then return to your beach hotel on the Riviera Maya or drive back to Cancún.
